Hi all,

I checked a frame from WL1271/WL1273 using a air capture tool.

A sequence number is reset to 0 when associating it with AP.
After associating it with AP, the sequence number is incremented
by 1 for each packet. But while associating it with AP the sequence
number is unexpectedly reset to 0.
I don't know the condition and the timing of that.

Is it known issue?

Can you clarify your question?

From the spec:

The Sequence Number field is a 12-bit field indicating the sequence number of an MSDU or MMPDU. Each

MSDU or MMPDU transmitted by a STA is assigned a sequence number. Sequence numbers are assigned

from a single modulo 4096 counter, starting at 0 and incrementing by 1 for each MSDU or MMPDU

it make sense that when you reassociate you start counting the MSDU's from zero again.

What is the problem with this?

Hi, All

My platform is WinCE6 + WL1273.

It is ok that the sequence number is started from 0 when it asociate with AP.
The problem is that the sequence number which is incremented
by 1 for each packet is unexpectedly reset to 0 while it is associating with AP.

I understood this is no problem.

So, Please teach me the condition that the sequence number is
reset to 0 excluding overflow.
