WL1837MOD: Emission issue (+6dB over the limit)

Part Number: WL1837MOD

Hi team,

My customer is testing a product in the lab that uses a WL1837MOD for Wi-Fi. They're seeing an issue with the emission on channel 11. Here’s a screenshot of the emission at Channel 11 (center frequency 2462 MHz).

Off to the right of the signal is the template that the entire emission needs to stay within. They are +6dB over the limit in this picture.

They are using the single antenna mode, the second antenna pin is pulled out but not being used. They reviewed the WL18XX design checklist and ensured they're meeting all the hardware/layout recommendations. They basically copied the demo board schematic as much as possible.

Any suggestions or insight as to why they are over the limit with their emissions?

Thanks,
Lauren
