Hi,

My customers are considering CC3235MODA. I posted because they wanted to know a few things.

Question 1:

They are concerned about the supply and would like to know the impact of the following.

"Fire broke out at AKM factory in Japan" http://www.semimedia.cc/?p=8523

Does CC3235 use AKM materials inside the chip?

Question 2:

We would like to know the past performance of CC3235.

What applications has CC3235 been used for in the past?

Hi Rei,

To my knowledge, the CC3235 module does not use AKM parts, and there is no supply bottleneck due to any AKM issue.

The CC3235 is often used in applications where dual band Wi-Fi and low power is required. So applications such as IoT devices like smart locks for example.

The CC3235 also offers FIPS-140 security certification that is of interest to the medical device industry, so the CC3235 has been used in various Wi-Fi connected medical devices.
