We are trying to use the ‎LAUNCHCC3235MOD eval board along with the BOOSTXL-SHARP128‎. We are looking at the SD card file system examples. However, we were surprised to find the SD Card interface in the hardware as well as the SDK examples are using the SPI interface instead of the SD Host interface that the CC3235MODASF provides. Any reason not to use this interface in the official evaluation boards and the SDKs? How do we go about evaluating the SD host interface of the CC3235MODASF? Any supported eval board or SDK for that?

Hi,

Looking at the fatsd example in the SDK, it does appear that the demo is configured to use the SD Host interface on the CC3235. As such, the SW and HW you currently have is the correct setup for evaluating the SD host interface.

A while back I tested the functionality of the CC32xx SD host interface with that HW combo in response to another thread and verified that it functions as expected. The CC3220 and CC3235 feature the exact same SD host interface so the information there is applicable to your device as well.
