CC2530 + TIMAC-CC2530-1.3.0 bit rate

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2530, TIMAC, CC2591

Hi,

I'm using a CC2530+CC2591 with TIMAC 1.3.0.

Now I'm using a bit rate of 250kb/s.

It's possible to change bit rate on TIMAC? I'd like downgrade it to 25kb/s.

Thanks.

Joaquim.

  • Hi,

The CC2530 radio is a 250 kbps radio only, so the answer is no

  • Dear Moe,

    Thank you very much.

Please I have an other question for you if it's possible,

I've done a simple test to improve the PER link between two CC2530+CC2591 (SmartRF Studio 7 utility).

The configuration of the test is very simple: the first CC2530+CC2591 as a Tx, the second as a Rx. I've a CC2430 to generate noise in the same channel (0x0B).

    Power of Tx = 21dBm.

    Rx = high sensibility.

    Power noise = -9dBm.

I send a simple sentence with 30 characters.

    RESULTS:

    1. With defaults RF settings I have a PER of 25% of 100 packets.

    2. With CCA_THR = 0x06, MDMCTRL0 = 0xA5 and MDMCTRL1 = 0x38, I have a PER of <5% of 100 packets.

    Are this configuration correct?

Are this configuration applicable to TIMAC 1.3.0 to improve a link budget with noise?

It's possible to change others parameters to improve link budget (periods symbols, backoff timer, etc.)?

    Thanks.

    Joaquim.
