CC2531: can´t find dev/ttyACM0 on YOCTO 2.0 (daisy) or Alpine

Hi , may you all give me a hand? I tried to connect the CC2531 on a YOCTO 2.0 OS,

when I run ~lsusb , I can see that recognice the USB port:

root@Docsis-Gateway:/# lsusb
Bus 004 Device 010: ID 0451:16a8 Texas Instruments, Inc.
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub

but when I go to /dev I can not find the ttyACM0, also, I got same issue on a Alpine 3.12

my question is: doesnt linux recognize automatically the drivers? or I need to do something else to my linux/Yocto to got the ttyACM0 ?

Please make sure your CC2531 USB dongle is programmed with appropriate firmware. See this post for more information, and refer to the docs in the CC USB Firmware library, here: https://www.ti.com/lit/zip/swrc088

Hi Daniel,

I've ensured the CC2531 is programmed with CC2531-GW-ZNP_38724.zip FW, about www.ti.com/.../swrc088 i was reading docs into the swrc088 zip and I dont got the idea what I need to install on my Yocto OS to this can recongize my ttyACM0.

Juan,

The CC2531 Dongle + firmware was tested using Ubuntu. I would recommend testing with ubuntu or windows to make sure the dongle works there first. I don't believe it has been tested with Yocto OS so it's possible that distribution is missing some required libraries or drivers.
