CC2538: Clock frequency range

Hello,

I am using CC2538 with TI components like TDC7200 and TDC1000 that require clock of 8Mhz, (Max 16Mhz)

I wanted to ask if it is possible to operate CC2538SF53RTQT at clock frequency of 8Mhz or 16Mhz, i mean provide it clock using clock generator (CDCE913), so I can have all 3 components clock sync and provided by same clock generator,

I would also like to know the minimum voltage level for the clock if CC2538 is supplied at 3V,

Hello Ali,

It looks like you want to use the CDCE913 to provide an external clock for the CC2538. Although the CC2538 can have an external clock, it is only for 32 MHz. However, the regular internal system clock can be configured to operate at 8 MHz and 16 MHz. This can be found in the User's Guide.

For your question regarding the minimum voltage, are you referring to the CDCE913?

For minimum voltage, I mean the minimum clock voltage level that CC2538 requires in case of external clock, (external via clock generator). CC2538 is supplied at 3V.

Hello Ali,

There isn't a specific voltage requirement when using an external clock. So it would be within the regular voltage range for the CC2538.
