CC2652R: How device can know the status of coordinator?

Hello TI experts,

my customer tests CC2652R for their new product.

the status is as below ;

- coordinator is powered off.

- the device have the feature of power metering, and can operate as router too.

the question is ;

can device know the status of coordinator which is off, like a command?

(they do not want the way to communicate with coordinator periodically and know on or off status.)

please check this issue. Thanks.

Hello Chase,

There are several ZDO or AF APIs the customer can send and monitor whether the ZC device responds or not with an indication callback. These are all listed in the Z-Stack API Guide and I further recommend that the customer read through the Zigbee Fundamentals SLA.

Actually my customer reviewed the guide you linked, but he did not find the suitable API yet.

could you advice exactly which API can apply to this situation? it will be very helpful to my customer.

I think Ryan suggest you to send any ZDO request such as ZDO active endpoint request to coordinator and check if device receive the response. If yes, coordinator is alive. Otherwise, coordinator is off or out of radio coverage.
