SonOff dongle CC2562P doesn't enter in bootloader mode.

Hi,

I've bought a SonOff ZigBee 3.0 Dongle with a CC2562P that has a Silicon Labs UART to USB Bridge.

It used to be working correctly, flashing on it without any problem but from the last time I flashed it (with the correct firmware), it doesn't enter in bootloading mode anymore ( I've tried holding that damn BOOT button many times)

I've tried to mass erase the dongle using Flash Programmer 2 but can't seem to erase it, can't even connect to it.

Don't know what to do.

Hi Luca,

It is possible that the latest firmware update disabled the bootloader inside the CCFG. You can review SWRA466 and Section 8 of SWCU185 for more details on the ROM Bootloader operation. SonOff provides their own firmware flashing instructions as well. If you are able to access the cJTAG test pins on the bottom of the dongle (Reset, TCK, TMS, GND, VCC) then you can try connecting a XDS110 debugger as available on any SimpleLink LaunchPad. If you are not able to get this interface to work or further determine that the JTAG is also locked through the CCFG, then you should contact SonOff support for further assistance.

Is there any way to connect it with a raspberry pi and flash it from there?

You can try using host_cc13xx-sbl bootloader solution from the TI-15.4-STACK-GATEWAY-LINUX-SDK, as a fully-developed JTAG solution would require additional hardware. You can search the E2E forum for similar topics, here are some relevant E2E threads I found:

My sonoff uses a cJTAG pin layout

Do you have any recommendation on what hardware to use to connect to it and flash it?

does the XDS110 work as a flasher too?

You can use CCSTUDIO, Uniflash, or Flash Programmer 2. The XDS110 is both a programmer and debugger. Please provide a picture of your JTAG connection/setup for verification.
