CC2531EMK: Changing Occupied Heating SetPoint

Hi,

I have a smart thermostat as end-device and I wanted to know If by changing the attribute via ZTool ( AF_DATA_REQUEST ) the change is only visual, or the thermostat actually opens the valve.

I saw that the there is a server command called "Raise/Lower Occupied SetPoint" which raises, or lowers, the setpoint by a certain value, but I would rather have full control on heating setpoint.

Edit: In case, how do I call a cluster command? Frame Header what value has to be? Since the raise/lower command id is 0x00 how can i not confuse it with the read command, which is also 0x00

If you refer to section 2.3.1.1.1 Frame Type Sub-field in ZCL specification, you can set b1b0 (Frame Type value)as 01 for Command is specific to a cluster. For example, you should set b1b0 as 01 when you send "Setpoint Raise/Lower" command (0x00) for HVAC cluster.

Thank you for the answer.

I tried 0100 0000 = 0x40 but doesn't call the cluster command, instead the read command.

Also, regarding the question of OccupiedHeatingSetPoint being only visual or not, I didn't find any information.

I suppose you are incorrect on but order. b1b0 mapping to frame control byte should be 0x01 instead of 0x40.

I tried using 0x01 and it actually work.

But looking at the figure 2-3 in ZCL Specification file by position 0 and position 1 it starts from the left, not the right.

I either read it wrong or the way they display confused me.

The document might be confusing but it actually described byte order in b0, b1,…,b7.
