Manufacturer specific Profile and Cluster

Hello all,

I'm using Z-Tool to create a zigbee network and I'm using a coordinator that is a TI zigbee module and other two router devices are manufactured by some other manufacturer and runs custom profiles and clusters. I just want to know that if I could communicate to the router devices by just mentioning the manufacturer's custom ClusterID and ProfileID in AF_REGISTER and AF_DATA_REQUEST(and all other commands) in Z-Tool directly or do I need to modify something in the source codes.

Basically yes but the routers should run Zigbee 3.0 or HA profile to join Z-Tool/ZNP network.

But the ProfileID mentioned in the documentation of the router device is some custom id(0xC25D).

I suppose you would use ZTool+ZNP to form a Zigbee 3.0 or Zigbee HA 1.2 network and let those 3rd party routers to join. If that’s true, I think you need to make sure those 3rd party can support Zigbee 3.0 or HA1.2 network.

Since the ZNP does not have a ZCL layer, it does not matter if the profile and cluster are manufacturer specific or not. You would still use the AF layer to send or process ZCL messages. To YK's point, this will still not be possible with the devices do not operate on the Zigbee 3.0 or HA specifications.
