LP-CC2652RB: Trouble reporting attributes

Hello,

my device is supposed to periodically report measurements, just like the temperature sensor. I have configured the cluster in Z-Stack sysconfig, and I have a routine that periodically takes correct measurements. In this routine I have copied the report code that is used in the temperature example. However there are no ZCL report packets coming from the device.

This is the code I use for reporting:

sensor_TemperatureMeasurement_MeasuredValue = Temperature_getTemperature() * 100;

Zstackapi_bdbRepChangedAttrValueReq(sensor_serviceTaskId,&tempReq);

I am quite sure there is something simple I am missing ... thank you!

Do you do binding to your device to make it know where to report temperature readings?

I think I don't? where would I look this up?

or in other words, what exactly do you mean with "binding to your device"? have it bound to a coordinator?

to describe my setup: I have the sensor on one end, and a zigbee2mqtt instance connected to the coordinator. The z2m instance is configured to know about the relevant clusters and has appropriate converters. If I manually read the values from the cluster via z2m it works, but there is nothing reported from the sensor.

ahh, it turns out my implementation on the z2m side was incomplete. I am not yet finished, but i apparently need a slightly more complicated converter and the firmware seems to do it's job as it should.

this is not quite the correct part of the documentation, as this part refers to binding attributes of devices to other devices (such as buttons to lamps). The documentation for "herdsman-converters" that bind attributes of the devices to the coordinator are here: https://www.zigbee2mqtt.io/advanced/support-new-devices/01_support_new_devices.html#_3-adding-converter-s-for-your-device

unfortunately this documentation consists mostly of examples from different products and is not very well documented.
