Hello everyone,

I want to integrate one external project with a zigbee coordinator project. But I need to go step by step, the begin point is the external project. So I want to extract the CUI menu from the zigbee project and modify it but I am not being able to do it. Is there any CUI project which is not dependant of zigbee? Or how can I create my own CUI menu? Thank you.

Hello Dani,

You can add the CUI_DISABLE preprocessor definition, reference generic_app examples, or remove/modify the cui folder/files directly.

Thank you Ryan, I explained myself very bad. I was thinking more of just keeping the cui folder. Like integrating the CUI used in ZC_switch in the i2ctmp project. I want that menu and modify the options, but I can't remove the zigbee part.

In this sense it should be possible to copy the cui.c/h files to your project and modify zcl_sampleapps_us.c/h for your own application needs. You can refer to main.c and zcl_samplesw.c from the Z-Stack example for initialization and usage guidance.

Thank you, I am trying to do the simplest version of that and I found this error. I do not know how to handle it because it is not a function or a variable that I declared. I attach the code in question too. Thank you d6t-2jcieev01_CC26X2R1_LAUNCHXL_tirtos_ccs2.zip

UART and UART2 are two different TI Drivers. The CUI uses UART whereas your project's SysConfig initializes UART2. You will need to either migrate the CUI to UART2 or change your project for UART. Note that the UART driver will be removed in SDK v6.20 and thus TI has migrated the CUI resource to UART2 for the v5.40 SDK. Meanwhile it appears that your application is still referring to the v5.30 resource.

Thank you, I changed my project SysConfig to use UART as well as CUI. Now the error has disappear. Nevertheless, I am having trouble trying to display a simple menu in a putty terminal. It does not show anything in the serial terminal. If you could see the code and help me I would be very grateful. Your mainThread only consists of UI_InitCUI before returning, to which there are no other threads and thus your application does not perform any functionality. You will notice that the Zigbee example main code has a "process loop" function which at least includes zclsampleApp_ui_event_loop, among other UI APIs which are called elsewhere. I would highly recommend that you more closely review the existing examples which utilize the CUI.
