CC2652R: Does DMM project support TI Clang compiler

Hi,

Do the DMM projects and Project Zero support TI Clang ?
The project seems to build and run just fine but I keep getting a warning

'Selected device does not currently provide project initialization details for the TICLANG toolchain. The project may require further manual set up.'

Does this require any action ?

Hi Akhilesh,

What are your system dependencies? I have not observed such a warning when building dmm_zr_light_report_display_app or project_zero using SIMPLELINK-CC13XX-CC26XX-SDK v5.40, CCS v11.1, and TI Clang v1.3.0.LTS. At any rate, TI Clang is indeed supported by these stacks and I would not expect any issues from using this compiler.

Hi Ryan,

Thanks for the confirmation. I am using the same sdk, ccs and clang versions.

Compiling the sample example 'dmm_zr_light_remote_display_oad_app' in clang throws this warning
'#10247-D creating output section ".ccfg" without a SECTIONS specification

Additionally, in project properties, under the general tab, this warning shows up

Just wanted to get these clarified.

Thanks for the screenshot, I see the same. This appears to be an inconsistency within Code Composer Studio settings and I will follow up with the correct Team to determine whether this warning can be removed. Meanwhile, you should not experience any problems so long as the project build does not show any related errors/warnings. https://software-dl.ti.com/codegen/docs/tiarmclang/compiler_tools_user_guide/
