LPSTK-CC1352R: Cannot connect with SimpleLink App, will not launch in Android OS

I ordered this device to use to sniff Zigbee devices and survey zigbee networks. I tried following the instructions from the Out of Box experience videos with no success as the applications for Android fail to launch with error stating that the apps has bug errors. I tried multiple times to uninstall and reinstall the application. My question is how can I connect to this device and flash it with the necessary file to use it with TI Smart RF if the SimpleLink App does not work as advertised?

Your description is confusing. Do you test Zigbee or do you test BLE? To setup sniffer, you should refer to https://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless-connectivity/zigbee-thread-group/zigbee-and-thread/f/zigbee-thread-forum/699648/faq-zigbee-packet-sniffing-solutions?tisearch=e2e-sitesearch&keymatch=faq%3Atrue . If you mean to use TI SimpleLink Starter App to scan BLE device and connect to it, you can download simple_peripheral into your LPSTK-CV1352R.

Hi Jeremy,

Are you following the latest LPSTK Out of Box Experience SimpleLink Academy Lab? Please provide screenshots which detail the issues you are encountering. I would also encourage you to program a Z-Stack application example for Zigbee evaluation, which can be done using a connection to a LaunchPad's XDS110. You may need a dedicated LaunchPad at any rate to act as a coordinator or packet sniffer. The Z-Stack User's Guide is also a good resource for general Zigbee stack information.
