Hi we have a network of more than 100 nodes of zigbee running zigbee pro stack, Our current setting is coordinator is also acting as concentrator all devices sends data to this concentrator.

currently at peak points when every node is sending data this causes a bottleneck so now we want to add a new concentrator in the network.

Question: is there a way to find the short address of the concentrator without knowing its extended addr and how many hops it is away like is there a function which tells the short address of every concentrator in the network.

If coordinator is also concentrator, the short address of concentrator is 0x0000 which is fixed for coordinator

other concentrator is not coordinator but a router in same network.

You can try to implement a proprietary broadcast command to notification all other nodes about short address of concentrator.

Can we check how much hopes away a node is from other node?

If the node is not coordinator, I don’t think you can know how many hopes away a node is from other node.

Yes, you can use ZDO Management LQI Request to get neighbor table.

Hi Moazam,

You can find the CC253X Z-Stack API Guide inside the Documents\API folder of your Z-Stack download package. As YK mentioned the ZDP_MgmtLqiReq() is a great method for neighbor lists, and ZDP_MgmtRtgReq() will allow more insight into the routing tables.

I've done that and got the neighbours list of remote node in the network. Now I want to get the neighbour table enteries of local device how can I do that? is there any api for that too?

Not directly, but since you have access to the local neighborTable then you can utilize the nwk_util.h APIs or choose to use the same method as ZDO_processMgmtLqiReq without sending a response to a remote device.
