Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2530
Hey, 2 questions.
1. Anyone know of a dev board or similar product that has a CC2530 and a relay?
2. How reliable is CC2530 + Zstack when used to mesh multiple CC2530 powered devices together?

Hi Jim
1) I am not aware of a development board that holds on board relay. CC2530 general purpose IO are however easily available on several development boards. Strapping these to a relay should allow testing such applications. For some relays a drive circuit might be necessary interfacing the two devices. Combining CC2530EMK, SOC_BB and CCdebugger kits is one development solution.
The CC2530DK is another alternative with added HW flexibility.
2) Don’t know how to quantify this.
There are numerous implementations out there using the mentioned combination with great success. Success will depend upon the particular environment and expectations.Indoor/outdoor, factory/residential, distance between nodes, expected data throughput ……. This is just some of the considerations necessary before starting do judge the reliability of a CC2530+Zstack net.
