CC2530: Size issue of BIN file.

Hi team,

Here's the request from the customer:

The Flash of CC2530F256 is 256KB, however the compiled hex of ZStack single protocol stack is 420KB.

How to deal with it?

Could you help check this case? Thanks.

Hex file is not binary so it is normal to see it is larger than 256K. You can check map file to know exactly how many Flash size is used.

YK is correct, the map file gives an accurate depiction of flash usage. IAR should produce an error during Linking if not all of the application code could fit inside flash memory.
