Hi,

First thing first I would like to ask if there is Matter Forum Section or not yet.

Not finding any better place I will ask my question there.

First Question:

I was reading the Matter Specification 1.0 and I came thru the "Message Frame Format" in page 107. It talks about various frame fields and most importantly the "Message Payload".Inside the "Message Payload" all the fields are described expect for the "Application Payload".Any reason behind this? If not, what is the application payload made of?

Second Question:

As I understood Matter is built on top of ZCL. Where are ZCL Commands and Attribute present in the message Frame?

Hi Ayman,

This is the correct Forum for Matter questions. I believe the graphic on this webpage adequately describes the relationship between Matter and ZCL, although you also have the connectedhomeip GitHub README. Other documents, such as the Matter Application Cluster Specification and ZCL Specification, specify application payload contents depending on device type and purpose. You can reference the Github LockApp example to observe operation of this protocol.
