CC2652R: Excessive 'Many-to-One route failure' messages

Part Number: CC2652R

Hi

We are observing an when sometimes we get a chain of  'Many to one failures'  from the router device to the coordinator and sometimes this goes into 1000s of message, have seen a case where it went to 9000 messages on the sniffer (took a few minutes to stop, not sure why it did either)
This was observed when the device was far away from the coordinator and wasn't getting a MAC ack.

Not sure why this is happening, is there anyway I can limit these messages.

Few of the network parameters
1. Many to one to ZNP coordinator triggered every 255 seconds
2. Route expiry disabled on Routers.
3. Large network 100+ devices.

Any advise would be helpful. Please let me know if you need any further information.

Thanks
Akhilesh

  • Hi Akhilesh,

There are a few recommendations that come to mind based off of the parameters given:

    1. Reduce the concentrator discovery period (CONCENTRATOR_DISCOVERY_TIME) so that routes are refreshed more frequently.
    3. Use more ZEDs to avoid broadcast storms.
    3. Increase the strength of neighbor connections.
    4. Reduce the network radius (DEF_NWK_RADIUS) and increase the route age limit (NWK_ROUTE_AGE_LIMIT).

You can also refer to Network Configurations and SWRA650 for more suggestions.

    Regards,
