CC1352P7: How to immigrate firmware of CC1352P to CC1352P7 ?

Part Number: CC1352P7
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1352P,

Dear Sir and Madam,

A custom CC1352P Module was design based on CC1352P_2_LAUNCHXL, SubGHz:14dBm and 2.4GHz :19dBm.

wireless MCU CC1352P was replace by CC1352P7 in this custom board only.

There was no LP-CC1352P2-2 , following 2 launchpad were available

  • LP-CC1352P7-1: 868/915 MHz up to 20 dBm, 2.4 GHz up to 5 dBm
  • LP-CC1352P7-4: 433 MHz up to 13 dBm, 2.4 GHz up to 10 dBm

Which example is best fit CC1352P_2_LAUNCHXL application power distribution  and what should be change (e.g. RF Antenna Pin 0,1,2) ?

Best regards,

David

  • Hi David,

As the LP-CC1352P7-4 is optimised for 2.4 GHz, +10 dBm operation for the high power output, this would be the best board to use as a starting point.

The output power setting would need to be changed to +20 dBm and the output matching network changed to the values listed on the schematic.

    Regards,

    Zack

  • Hi Sid and  Zack,

Appreciated for your good suggestion and time.

I will set the maximum output power to 20dBm based on LP-CC1352P7-4 example. The matching networks have been designed for 1GHz(14dBm) and 2.4GHz(20dBm).

    Best regards,

    David
