Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2650, LAUNCHXL-CC2650
Hi All
Can the baudrate of the CC2650 be set higher than 115200? (ex:256000)
I want to transfer large amounts of data.
I hope to reduce time.

Thanks for your reply.
If the defined gpio has sensor controller function.
Will it affect?
You should not be using one pin to accomplish UART peripheral and Sensor Controller functionality while both are being used simultaneously. Note that the SCS UART Emulator has a maximum baud rate of 115200

Hi Ryan
I set gpio to only uart function.
But it doesn't work at baud rate 256000.
baud rate 115200 is ok.
Could there be another reason?
Hi Kuo,
What hardware are you evaluating? There could be a physical limitation. Have you tried other baud rates, even smaller ones, such as 9600 or 128000? This would help confirm whether you are correctly changing the baud rate in your code. Have you tested with the UART Echo example?
Regards,
Ryan
I have tried to use 128000 is work.
But can't choose higher.
The usb-to-serial pcb has been confirmed by HW to support up to 3m
I am sending from windows pc to mcu through usb to uart.
Sorry, My mistake.
My usb-to-uart pcb supports higher baudrate.
But its FW should not support.
Because I could used other usb-to-uart to got data on higher baudrate.
I just confirmed a baud rate of 921600 with the LAUNCHXL-CC2650, the UART Echo example, and a terminal emulator. Thus the issue you are experiencing is based on the hardware and tool resources you are using, not the CC2650. There have been similar instances on the E2E of users having difficulty increasing the baud rate.

Ryan
