Hi,

I was reading ZigpyZNP source code to learn how to perform a network backup (they have a tool that does this).

The procedure is the following:

reading NIB
reading BDBNodeIsOnANetwork
reading ExtAddr
reading LogicalType
reading NWKActiveKeyInfo
reading TCLK_SEED
reading ADDRMGR

If my understanding is correct ADDRMGR is where there are the end-devices network address and ieee address entries.

But when I try to read it I get a status = 2. Any idea on why of this.

ADDRMGR address should be 0x0023

Seems like status = 0x02 is INVALID_PARAMETER but I don't understand why it should be invalid.

Hi Ayman,

TI has published an Application Report for this as well. Note that ZCD_NV_EX_ADDRMGR (0x0001) is referenced. MT_SYS_KEY_MANAGEMENT and FEATURE_NVEXID must also be defined, which is not enabled by default for Z-Stack projects.

I've get the length of the NV-ID: 0x0001, SubId: 0x0000 and SysID: 0x01 and I got length = 12 (is 12 a reasonable value?)

Performed a read to SysID: 0x01, ItemID: 0x0001, SubID: 0x0000 and got a result which I possibly think it to be the AddrMGR result (one of the many entries).

How is the response structured?

Solved the problem.

Given the 12 values, the 3rd and 4th are nwk address, the remaining 8 ieee address. the first two I don't know.
