CC2652P: MOES UFO-R11 and ZNP association

Part Number: CC2652P
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2531, , CC1352P

Hello

We need help

We bought Moes UFO-R11 Universal smart IR remote control. Successfully paired it to USB Dongle based on CC2531 + Zigbee2Mqtt.

1.Tried to pair to our own coordinator based on CC2652P (ZNP ZStack SDK 6.30) and got nothing. There were nither ZDO_END_DEVICE_ANNCE_IND (45C1) nor ZDO_TC_DEV_IND (45CA). Other devices are able to pair to our coordinator, but UFO-R11 not.

2.We listened into the radio with sniffer:

-1.pcapng - our configurator.

1.zip

-2.pcapng - USB Dongle.

2.zip

There is no Association Request/Association Response in the 1st log. Why? Seems to be some lack in our device configuration.

3.Tried to use our coorditator with Zigbee2Mqtt, but failed. Seems to be because of there is no support for ZB_READ_CONFIGURATION.

What should we do next? Where to look for UFO-R11 interaction with our coordinator?

Thanks.

  • Hello Mark,

The CC2652P ZNP appears to be sending Beacons with packet contents identical to the CC2531 USB dongle instance.  You will need to contact the device manufacturer to figure out why their product is not initializing the joining process with an Association Request.  The Zigbee2MQTT interface certainly supports CC2652/CC1352 devices and even provides hex images (use CC1352P versions for the CC2652P, not the CC2652R1 alternatives).  Make sure to erase all device memory before re-programming.

    Regards,
    Ryan
