Our selection for ZIGBEE protocol has come out of a need to control a remote gismo from an APP in smart phones.
The task is simple. User can turn ON/OFF a remote powered (non battery) device. She can also tone up or down one function. The APP will show this with Arrows pointing up or down. And tapping on either sends ZIGBEE strings to the remote receiver. The gismo does not have to send any acknowledgement. There is visual appearance of the arrow in action.
In the gismo, we are selecting CC2651R3SIPA for convenience of not having to develop things we are not yet familiar with. An SOC approach gets us to a Quick Turn play out.
So: what tools must we choose to develop codes to download on the SOC in our gismo?
FYI: we do have CCS, Picolo and Delfino Launchpads...etc.
What tools to get for developing Apps for the smart phones?
I suspect the two are independent tasks, Isn't that so?
Any help in the matter will be highly appreciated.
