CC2652R7: Cleanup all connected devices using Linux CLI / UART command

Good morning,

Our custom board includes both IMX8 processor running Linux (with zigbee2mqtt) and CC2652R7 as coordinator.

At some point, we need to reflash/cleanup Linux memory, meaning that zigbee2mqtt database is cleaned up too.

Problem is that internal CC2652R7 memory is not erased aswell, and after a reboot all previously connected devices reappear in z2m. At least those devices can reconnect because the coordinator "knows" them.

Remove one by one each devices using zigbee2mqtt before Linux reflash is not a suitable solution for us.

Is there any way, for example using Linux Command Line Tool, to tell to CC2652 to remove all devices or reset to factory default?

Try to refer to https://sunmaysky.blogspot.com/2017/02/use-ztool-z-stack-30-znp-to-set-up.html to use MT command to clear NV when reset.

Thanks for the reply, I spent some time to study your solution.

As Z-Tool is only a desktop application we cannot use it. But we could sniff SYS_OSAL_NV_WRITE and SYS_RESET messages and reproduce them with our own way. Does it seem a solution to you?

Unless someone is able to tell us what are the exact bytes sent by those two commands.

I succeded to send to CC2652 coordinator both SYS_OSAL_NV_WRITE and SYS_RESET as described, and received SUCCESS responses (the same one I saw using Z-Tool).

However the device list inside CC2652 is not cleared. I can tell because after erasing all configuration/database file of zigbee2mqtt and restarted the service, connected device appears again. As far I can tell it means that coordinator did not forget about devices and informed Z2M about it at startup.

Are we sure that SYS_OSAL_NV_WRITE and SYS_RESET completely reset network/devices informations?

Hello Sylvain,

I've confirmed that this method has worked for me previously. Make sure you are using the correct SYS_OSAL_NV_WRITE parameters to clear the NV memory. Here also is the Z-Stack Monitor and Test API.
