CC2674R10: Connect CC2674R10-based customer board to SmartRF Studio

Hi team,

I want to use smart rf studio with a customer board based on CC2674R10. The documentation being quite old (SmartRF Studio 7 Tutorial Product, CC debugger User Guide) what is the recommended setup with our newer devices ?

CC Debugger + CC1111 used as USB dongle connected to the customer board ?

Or can we leverage more recent debugger such as the XDS110 ?

For CC26xx devices, should use XDS110 instead of CC debugger.

Hello Geoffrey Ficara,

I hope you are doing well. Over on dev.ti we have some good documentation/guides in our SDKs on how to debug our devices, specifically through this link.

As YiKai stated, you should use the XDS110 debugger.

On SmartRF Studio 7 we do have an option for CC2674R10.

Hi, thank you for your feedback.

So you confirm that in order to use smartrf studio 7 or 8, it is possible to connect the CC2674R10 to the XDS110 through the cJTAG ports, ie connecting SWDIO, SWCLK, RST, VDD and GND ?

Hello Geoffrey,

SmartRF 8 only has CC2340R5 at the moment (on version v1.0.0); I would recommend SmartRF 7 since it has support for the CC2674R10. You should be able to use the cJTAG port to connect the XDS110 debugger, or use the 10 pin connector if available (JTAG Connectors and Pinout (ti.com)).
