Hi,

I am using 3 cc2531 usb dongles one as coordinator and other two as end devices which are connected to computer.

I want to transfer data from one PC to another through coordinator.

How to achieve this.

Which sample application i should use..

    Hi abcd,

     

    Serial sample application should be a good start point for you.

    A few changes must be made, such as adding of CDC USB firmware (not a complex procedure)

    and sending data to different nodes.

    You can find SerialApp project here:

    Z-stack installation folder\Projects\zstack\Utilities\SerialApp\CC2530DB\

    Information regarding this sample can be found in Z-Stack Sample Applications.pdf, section 3.1

    Hi,

     Thanks for the reply. Now i get the idea of setting up coordinator and router and how to form a network.

    Now i want to send some data to end device from coordinator for that  where should i write my application code.

    To send data i must know either IEEE or network address of end device. How to get that address?

    Hi abcd,

     

    For instance, the End Device can initiate the communication by sending some message

    to Coordinator (Coordinator's NWK address is 0x000 by default), upon receiving the message

    Coordinator can get the NWK address of the End Device and send some message back.

    Another way is to use binding. In case of binding no NWK addresses should be applied.

     

    Where you should write this in your application? Well, it is a good question, to answer this one,

    I need to know what is the sample application you have chosen for your evaluation process?

    Hi Igor,

     Am planning to use SerialApp sample application for this.

    When i open this app in IAR EWB its showing lots of files.Which one need to modify?

    Hi abcd,

     

    You should start with this two files SerialApp.c and SerialApp.h.

    Few hints:

    In SerialApp.c the SerialApp_Init() function used for initialization,

    so it is a good place for you to initialize things (like variables, IOs, etc...)

    The SerialApp_ProcessEvent() is an processing event function (events sent by

    OSAL)... In this function you'll find call backs and other calls.

    In SerialApp.h you'll find constants.

    Browse for it a little bit (like a hour or so), it is not so hard to understand what's going

    on there.
