CC2674P10: Flash erase time

Part Number: CC2674P10
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2674R10,

Tool/software:

Hi,

It is difficult to predict the erasing time of an internal flash section : the datasheet gives 2.1ms typical at 0 cycle and 4s maximum at 30K cycle.

-> Is it possible to have more typical information for other values across that range ? at 10K for example ?

Also, the CC2674R10 datasheet indicates 10ms typical at 0 cycle. Iassume it is a mistake ?

Thanks

Geoffrey

  • Geoffrey,

Regrettably, the PG2.0 CC2674P10 datasheet (SWRS269A) contains incorrect Flash information that was available at the time of its publication. The PG3.0 CC2674R10 datasheet (SWRS268B) contains the correct Flash information for this family of devices.

We characterize the Flash at those two datapoints (0 and 30k cycles). No other intermediate points are available, sorry.

    Best regards,

    Rafael

  • Hi Rafael,

There is no typical value to share at 30k as well ?

    Geoffrey

  • Hi Geoffrey,

    Not really.

One clarification: the maximum value for 30k cycles is the absolute worst case scenario, which is the most useful value when planning the long term performance specifications of a product that makes extensive use of the Flash programming/re-programming (which seems to be the case for your customer).

    Regards,

    Rafael
