Hi,

I downloaded and installed IAR 8051 workbench. But it doesn't have cc2530 support.

The user guide says we will need install the patch to enable support for cc2530.

Which file is the patch to enable support for cc2530? Where to get it?

What version of IAR have you downloaded and installed, is it 8.10?

Yes, the version of the IAR EW 8051 1s 8.10.3.

Hi,

I think you shouldn't experience difficulties or problems with this version, as it the most up to date

version of IAR for devices like the cc253x family.

All the current available codes, libraries and compiled binaries for cc253x SoCs supplied by TI

were released for either the 8.10 version or an earlier versions, so you it should be ok for you

work with v8.10.3 without patching it.

Hi,

I downloaded and installed IAR 8051 workbench. Version 8.11. Do a "Rebuild All". Got linking error as following:

Updating build tree... basic_rf.c basic_rf_security.c hal_int.c adc.c clock.c hal_mcu.c hal_rf.c hal_rf_security.c hal_lcd_srf05.c hal_assert.c hal_board.c hal_button.c hal_digio.c hal_joystick.c hal_led.c util.c util_buffer.c util_lcd.c light_switch.c

Linking Error[e12]: Unable to open file 'lnk51ew_cc2530b.xcl'

Error while running Linker

What did I miss? Please advise!

Hi,

Linker missing the right path to linker configuration file.

In IAR open project options (Alt+F7), then go to Linker->Config.

Under "Linker configuration file" check the override default check box, then

click on "..." button and locate the linker configuration file, should be something like that:

...\IAR Systems\Embedded Workbench 6.0\8051\config\devices\Texas Instruments\lnk51ew_cc2530F256.xcl
