CC2652RB: CC2652RB - Lean Layout check

Part Number: CC2652RB

Tool/software:

Hi all,

playing around with my latest iteration of a zigbee hub

and try to make it lean as possible.

The question here is, that I have ripped out the oscillators because according to the datasheet its not mandatory to have one,
if I dont plan to have the zigbee stick on a low standby mode.

Also the Antenna is a low dBi Antenna - is that also correct ?

  • Hi,

Yes, this is correct. The 48 MHz and the 32 kHz crystals are not needed under the conditions above.

The choice of an antenna is entirely up to your design constraints of space and desired gain. I strongly recommend reading the AN058 – Antenna Selection Guide for additional considerations on the antenna selection.

    Hope this helps,
