Any one can explain the main difference?
Thanks

CC2531 has USB. CC2530 has not. On the chip level, that is the only difference. The development boards for CC2530 and CC2531 are different (CC2531 comes in the form of USB dongles), so that has to be taken into account as well when developing code on those boards.
Thanks Hec,
when you referring "Have USB", it means CC2531 has USB control chip built in and we don't need to use UART convert to USB to an outside USB control chip(we used to use silicon semi control chip)? right?
One another question, the speed of USB is limited by the 8051 processor speed inside CC2531?
Thanks
Rui
Yes, the CC2531 has a built-in USB controller. It supports full-speed operation (up to 12 Mbps). See the user guide for more information. You can also look at the reference design for the CC2531 USB dongle to see what kind of external components you need.
You are probably right that the 8051 may be a limiting factor for the speed in some cases. However, I doubt it will be in practice, as you typically pass on the data that go over the air. For those kinds of data rates, I believe the 8051 is sufficient.
