Hi,

I am planning to do a 3x3 keyboard scan on the CC2530 GPIO pins. I am worried that in the OSAL time slice, the keyboard scan function will not be very fast enough to detect the correct keys or a combination of keys. Would it be safe to implement a keyboard scan on the CC2530 GPIO pins?

I have not yet calculated, but i'm planning to do a 'celphone text' speed on inputting the buttons to create groups of simple letters or numbers. I don't want to add another microcontroller for this purpose.

Hi,

In general, frequent polls aren't good for power saving on cc2530 with Z-stack running on (or TIMAC),

however you can schedule a 10mSec repeated event using osal timer mechanism. One more thing

you should keep in mind, the osal in this case is not a parallel OS.
