Hi Team,

Posting on behalf of our customer.

I am using CC2340r5.I want to develop a receiver with this part which need to accept signals from other grren power zigbee transmitters.I want to send signal if the transmitter is battery supported.I want to confirm if this part number can support my requirement.I started with simple_combo_LP_EM_CC2340R5_freertos_ticlang and gpd_switch.I tried to modify gpd_switch with bidirectional commissioning.BUT failed to make combo with bicommisioning sink.I need help to proceed further

I used the Zigbee Green Power Simple Combo example from GitHub to implement a Green Power Sink, with a gpd_switch as the Green Power Device (GPD). The implementation worked successfully when the switch was configured as unidirectional.

However, when I changed the gpd_switch configuration to bidirectional in SysConfig, the commissioning process started failing.

Could you confirm whether it is possible to implement a bidirectional Green Power Sink using the Simple Combo example?

If so, what additional changes or modifications are required?

Hi Danilo,

The simple_combo example was generated specifically for unidirectional commissioning, and the ZGP API does not give any clarity as to how it would be modified for bi-directional commissioning. Please reach out to me offline if this needs to be further investigated by TI.

Thank you for your response. Our customer has some follow up inquiries below.

I want to confirm following

1) if Combo example provided can reply back after commissioning, if changes are made in the code.

2) If bidirectional term used in bidirectional commissioning is only regarding commissioning process.Can I do 2 way communication between unidirectional commissioned device.

Hi Danilo,

Bidirectional can apply to both the commissioning process and communication thereafter (see the gpd_bidir_attr_read_write example). Does the customer require one or both? I am reaching out to my ZBOSS contacts to determine what needs to be added to the ZGPS application such that it supports bi-directional ZGPDs.
