Help for First Time Connection to CC2430

Help!

I currently own two Chipcon SmartRF04EB and two CC2430EM Boards with antennas.

I would like to connect to my CC2430's and write a program so that the led on one module lights up when I push the joystick or a button on another module.

I don't know how to connect to the chip or what I need to do. I have all the pdf's from the CC2430 page, but I have been unsuccessful at connecting.

Hello Isaac,

First I would start by sending data using SmartRF Studio. You simply need to connect the EMs to the SmartRF04EBs and connect the SmartRF04EBs via USB to your PC. In SmartRF Studio you will have a built in PER test you can run etc.

When this is successful ... the next step is to start with your own code. For this I would recommend looking at our examples and hardware library

The examples are documented and come with the libraries you need to for example use an LED.
