    You can use the CC2430 datasheet to get information regarding the RSSI status register to read for a local RSSI value.  This is found on the CC2430 Product Folder.

    What protocol stack are you using?

    If the ZStack, there is an example application called SimpleApp which could be modified to transmit the RSSI value over the Zigbee network from a remote device and have the Collector send this data over a UART interface to the PC.
    If you are using a SimplicTI stack, you can also use one of the example applications provided with the SimplicTI stack download.
