Smart RF Studio or Packet Sniffer

Does SmartRF Studio work with ez430-rf2480 or is there some Packet Sniffer SW that would work with this kit ?

SmartRF Studio's primary purpose is to be a programming assistant for the RF transceivers. Since the CC2480 has a microcontroller in it, you really don't need SmartRF Studio.

If you want to monitor packet traffic over the air, you need the Packet Sniffer software (or a thrid party sniffer) and compatible sniffer hardware. The SmartRF04EB/CC2430EM combination makes perfect set of 802.15.4 sniffer hardware.
