Problem of IAR for 8051 "find in files"

Hello, I have a problem of IAR for 8051(V8.10.3).

I can not use "Find and Replace"->"Find in Files" to find a string in project files.

The IAR just often show many lines of something like "Failed to read "C:\Texas Instruments\ZStack-CC2530-2.5.0\.....".

It is no problem few days ago, but now this function can not work ?

Can anybody tell me why? And how to fix it?

Hi Kang,

Check to see if your settings in "Find in Files" is same as the following picture.

I am sorry about the system that can not show the picture correctly. Please make sure the following items in your "Find in Files" Dialog box.

1. Make sure that all "Match case", "Match whole word", and "Match regular expression" are uncheched.

2. Check "For all projects in workspace"

3. Select "*.c;*.cpp;*.cc;*.h;*.hpp;*.s*;*.msa;*.asm" in File types.

Perhaps the error message is your clue:

"Failed to read "C:\Texas Instruments\ZStack-CC2530-2.5.0\....."

Have you renamed some sub-directories of the Z-Stack install, or perhaps located your IAR application at a different relative sub-directory level than the standard sample applicatons?

I have solved this problem.

In the "Find in Files" dialog, check "Match case", then the function can work well.

If no "Match case" check, it works bad.

Maybe this is IAR 's bug.
