Hi,

In one of our design projects, we need Zigbee transceivers. We want to design a drip flow meter. So, the sensor sends the output to the microcontroller MPS430 platform depending on whether the fluid is dripping or not. If the fluid is not dripping, then the microcontroller sends the pulse to the server via Zigbee network.

So, I want to know which Zigbee transceiver serves my purpose?

Do I need to go for optional RF front end for this scenario?

Let me know what are the necessary Zigbee transceivers and other required modules for my application?

CC2520 is the recommended zigbee transceiver.

Could you use a CC2530 SoC instead of combining an MSP430 with a transceiver?

I can use CC2530 SoC instead of MPS430 and Zigbee transceiver. How can it impact the receiver stage?

At the transmitter side, I can use CC2530 module which has Micro controller and Zigbee module.

Now, I am looking what I can use at the Receiving end to receive the data from the Zigbee module?

Can you please help me out how I can design at the receiver side?

Well it depends if you need a SoC or transceiver on the receive side. If you already have some kind of microcontroller/processor, then CC2520 is all you need.
