Tx power setup in Z stack

I notice we can setup the Tx power by adjusting macRadioUpdateTxPower(). In Z stack, it is default as maximum 0x5F(in macRadioDefsTxPowerTable).

However, we tested in our chamber that the RF power of beacon request seems to be not in maximum power, we adjust calibration in our broad so there should not be our PCB or antenna issue. So I would like to know where in Z stack code the beacon request power is set? is it set intentionally to be a lower value than general Tx packet?

You can try to use API macRadioSetTxPower, for example

//Set TX power to 16 dbm
macRadioSetTxPower(16);

Hi,

as far as I know, the transmit power is the same for all the cases, i.e. the beacon power doesn't differ from the data packet power. This can be seen just from the sniffer log (in terms of the RSSI or LQI).

Are you sure that the measurements are correct?

Is the default setup in Z stack is the largest Tx power, which is

reqTxPower = macRadioDefsTxPowerTable[txPower]; //txPower = 0 in z stack

and it is -0.4dbm, for all packets. but our measurements indicate it is -9dbm.

Where would I set the default RF output power? I'm working on a project where it needs to be lower than the default in order to pass FCC.
