ISTACK oveflow?

I get a msg warning that says "Mon Dec 10 11:14:02 2012: Warning: Possible IDATA stack overflow detected. To see the instruction that caused the possible overflow, choose Debug>Break and close this message box. To continue execution, just close this message box. "

And I checked the instruction to cause this, it is

MOV PSW,#(?REGISTER_BANK << 3)

I don't quite understand how this can cause idata stack overflow?

What stack size do you use? Increasing it may remove the issue.

The warning may appear if the ram used by your application overlaps area saved for the stack.

Try to avoid large auto-variables, as they are pushed on the stack.

when I got this msg, I checked real time stack usage and it is far from overflow. I believe somehow I enter into sleep mode using debug mode. And the debugger got reset. wonder whether it is a "misleading" log information debugger has. it is not stack overflow, it is some thing else wrong

Hi,

Make sure no parts of your application use the SRAM allocated for the stack.
