Other Parts Discussed in Thread: Z-STACK, CC2530, CC2520
Hello TI ZigBee fans,
You may have noticed a change on the Z-Stack landing page with the introduction of our ZLL solution: it was released as “Z-Stack Lighting”. This is part of a change in the way we deliver ZigBee solutions.
For Z-Stack 2.5.1, you could download one package per platform (CC2530, MSP430+CC2520 etc…) In this package, was included support for multiple standards (ZHA, ZSE, ZHC etc…) and multiple sample applications.
Starting now, Z-Stack will be packaged per standard:
- “Z-Stack Lighting” for ZLL (ZigBee Light Link)
- “Z-Stack Home” for ZHA (ZigBee Home Automation)
- “Z-Stack Energy” for ZSE (ZigBee Smart Energy)
- “Z-Stack Mesh” for proprietary applications (no application profile)
- Etc..
Each package will contain relevant sample applications and support for relevant HW platforms.
For these products, there is an underlying core stack that goes through ZigBee Pro protocol certification. In the case of Z-Stack Lighting 1.0.0, it is Z-Stack 2.6.0. But this is internal to Z-Stack Lighting, as such it won’t be available for download on TI website. It will be referenced on profile certification paperwork, however, as it is the applicable ZCP (ZigBee Compliant Platform).
I hope this helps!
