Hi,

    I use SmartRF05 + CC2530EM Evaluation Board, and run SampleLight & SampleRemote Project.

    But the samples can't work.

    SampleRemote:  EB-EndDevice.

    SampleLight:        EB-Router.

    Power up SampleLight and SampleRemote, press the Joystick Left to touchlink the zll device, but the samplelight has no response. They can't communication. It seems that the network not formed.

    Is there any other place need to be noticed or modified??

    Hi Eric he,

     Keep both remote and Light as close as possible.(max 10 cm). do the touch link

        It can work! Thanks a lot!

        But why should keep them so close to touch link? When touch link finished, I keep them about 50cm, they also work well.

    Hi Eric He,

      becoz of security reasons( exchanging the network Key) at 0DBm. After 8 secs, you can control the light at long distance (300 - 400 m approx).

    touch link is a one time procedure. you can switch Off and On  both the light and controller then directly you can control the light with touch link.

     

    please read the light link spec for further understanding.

    Dear Eric He,

        For security reasons the touch link is proximity based. In the test spec it states that touchlink should fail if the devices are 2 meter apart. But as the mechanism is based on RSSI this is very dependent on the Antenna performance and the environment. This is described in section 3.2 of the "Z-Stack Lighting Developer Guide.pdf" in the ZStack-Lighting-1.0.0 Documents folder.

    The touchlink will fail if the RSSI is below ZLL_TL_WORST_RSSI which defaults to -40 (dBm), it is envisaged that a when developing new HW this value will need calibrating and the developer will override this default value in the project options.

    After touchlink the normal ZigBee mesh messaging will be followed, so I would expect a lot better than 50cm.
