Dear friends,

I've purchased a CC2530 Zigbee DK, but it must be programmed in 8051. I want to know that should I need to buy a license of IAR software? Or is an evaluation license enough for the design? Thank you.

IAR is a mandatory tool to develop FW on CC2530. However, you still can start from evaluation version.

Please remember that the evaluation version is for limited period, 1 month. Later if you are going to change 8051 firmware ie Zstack , you may have to purchase IAR license. .
