ZStack SimpleApp Modification

I'm trying to utilize the SimpleApp that was packaged with ZStack to collect A/D measurements from sensor nodes and output them to the UART of the coordinator. If I'm reading the documentation correctly, the SimpleApp is set up to do exactly that. I have a different board configuration and have modified hal_board_cfg.h to reflect changes such as LEDs etc. It seems that the coordinator starts up correctly as LED3 blips once then stays on (I only see a beacon request in the Packet sniffer though, followed by the 15second interval message)

The end device appears to start correctly, however LED3 blips continuously and MY_FIND_COLLECTOR_EVT trips every ~30 secs. I've attached the packet sniffer log.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In this example, MY_FIND_COLLECTOR_EVT is used for binding, which means that your end device keep sending binding request periodically. You need to trigger HAL_KEY_SW_1 on your collector to match the binding request. For LED3 blinks continuously, you should check where the example uses HalLedBlink and check why it does so.

As far as the binding match, none of my devices have keys, so this will require some thought, but I don't think that's the problem.

LED3 is not blinking, it is being turned on and off as the device goes to sleep and wakes up.

Turns out, the device network behaves normally if I disable POWER_SAVING. I'd rather find the true problem, though, as power saving is required for my application.

From the sniffer log, I find that your end device using a very fast polling rate, which is about 5000 us=5 ms. Just wondering if this causes your problem. I would suggest you to lower your device polling rate to at least 100ms.

I didn't change the polling rate from whatever was default. Where is this setting?

It is in f8wConfig.cfg. Find POLL_RATE and check what the value is. The default value should be 100.
