Any body knows how to make ZNP hex-file for cc2538?

Does the ZNP allow you to use the CC2538 as an external module that received serial commands and talks zigbee? I remember reading about the cc2530 having ZNP (cc2530ZNP) but I think it went obsolete. Did TI make the ZNP functionality a software only thing?

I think that is impossible, but I am confused because I from TI support receive answer that "Z STACK HOME and Z STACK ENERGY are fully compliant with CC2538".

Actually, they haven't put ZStack for CC2538 on http://www.ti.com/tool/z-stack. I think you contact window must give you wrong information.

Why would you like to use CC2538? It will be more cost effective if you use CC2530. If you don't have special concerns, I would suggest you to start from CC2530.

We work with the company which make some devices and they used CC2530, but they will use CC2538 in the future. There are some differences between SoCs, CC2538 supports dual ZigBee application profiles and has higher output power.

If I have the board with CC2530 and ZStack-CC2530-2.5.1 and I make a new board with CC2538 and Z-STACK-HOME-1.1.0, is it compatible? Can I set a connection?

Can I use any free compiler/debugger tool to implement Z-Stack on CC2538? Somewhere I found that Z-Stack support is only for IAR.

No, there is only IAR project in Z-STACK-HOME-1.1.0 now. However, I had heard that TI would provide CCS examples. I would suggest you to contact your local TI sales representstive for more details.

Are there any instructions how to make ZNP and how to program in onto the SoC CC2538?

I am facing Some issues with CC 2530 so we are moving towards higher version so let us know

present Z-Stack will work or not ,can we have any other stack out there for CC 2538 other than HA and SE .

If you mean to use example like GenericApp in ZStack home 1.2.0, the answer is yes. However, TI doesn't provide it in Z-Stack home 1.2.0 so you need to porting it by yourself.

Presently I am working with cc2530 and now I want to use CC 2538 so My concern is can we program cc2538 with SmartRf05 Evaluation Board i know that CC 2538 is a 56 pin IC my plan is to purchase EVM of CC2538 ,

But I am not having its programmer Is it neccessary to go for SmartRF board 06 for CC2538 or we can program it with SmartRf 05 EB

Or can we go for CC debugger from TI for Programming it, If we can not program CC 2538 with SmartRf 05 board can you please tell my why?

or is there any more possible solution for programming CC 2538 other than SmartRF 06 board or CC debugger could you please tell me?

No, you can't use SmartRf05 or CC debugger. They are for 8051 MCU but the MCU in CC2538 is ARM cortex-M3. It is easiest and cheap solution to use SmartRF06 for CC2538 development.

Thanks for your reply Now I am using CC 2538 for development purpose I want to use serial port for giving the inputs but unfortunately i dont have any sample application on CC2538 platform for serial application how can we write the serial application for reading some data from serial input and writing some byte on serial port

What references should i take for such implementation as I new to CC 2538 ,can CC 2530 serial port application will work ,

or can you provide me some sample application on cc 2538 platform

As I am not finding XDS100v3 Emulator module from Ti ,as Development board has XDS100v3, that is why I am asking will it work or not if yes then good if not can you please tell me why?

It looks TMDSEMU100V2U-ARM can work. However, I don't try it personally so I would like to suggest you to buy SmartRF06EB for your convenience.

I appreciate your decision and definitely will go for purchasing Development board for CC2538 ,but my query about porting the Serial Application which is available on CC2530 to CC2538 is still unanswered , I just want to have that serial application running on my CC 2538 board, but CC 2538 have not provided support for Zstack as u already said we have to port the stack on it, it will certainly take time , now i just want to port serial application on cc2538.

In which i need your help and proper reference to take or steps to followed which will decrease my development time for serial application porting on CC 2538.

Can i have steps for or any reference code or any reference to follow
