Hi Everyone,

I'm just trying to program my end device to enter in LITE sleep mode. I've already followed the instruccions in Power Management documentation but the sleep time is not long.I found the nwk_set_poll_evt and HAL_LED_BLINK_EVENT is always trigger.How can i stop the event?

I'm using ZStack-CC2530-2.5.1a.The example I use is SampleApp.I am now designing a low-power products, and these events frequently triggered.Project defined symbols are as follows:

xNWK_AUTO_POLL
ZTOOL_P1
MT_TASK
MT_SYS_FUNC
MT_ZDO_FUNC
LCD_SUPPORTED=DEBUG
POWER_SAVING
HAL_LED=TRUE
HAL_KEY=FALSE
BLINK_LEDS
NV_RESTORE
NV_INIT

My RATE set are as follows:

-DPOLL_RATE=3000,-DQUEUED_POLL_RATE=0,-DRESPONSE_POLL_RATE=0,-DREJOIN_POLL_RATE=0

What is the cause of these events frequently trigger？

You can define "HAL_LED = FALSE" to disable HAL_LED_BLINK_EVENT. As for nwk_set_poll_evt, I do not see it in my ZStack. Do you create this event by yourself? Or you can point out where the location is.

Thank you for your suggestion.The event is above,and it is triggered frequently.When I define "HAL_LED = FALSE" to disable HAL_LED_BLINK_EVENT ,I could not control the LEDs ON/OFF by call the function HalLedSet,and In my project, I need to control LEDs ON/OFF.How would i do?

If you want to set "-DPOLL_RATE=3000", you need to enable "NWK_AUTO_POLL".

The purpose I set "NWK_AUTO_POLL"disable is to disable the nwk_set_poll_evt.Is there any way disable the HAL_LED_BLINK_EVENT and can control the LED on/off and blink?

LED on/off and blink are just to control GPO. You can copy and rename the function in HAL_LED.c to do it.

thank you for your suggestions! I also have a question.If my end device want to keep the communication with coordination,the nwk_set_poll_evt would have been always triggered?Is it right?

Is it affect the sleep mode when I use the watchdog?

Yes, the nwk_set_poll_evt would be always triggered if your end device keeps communication with coordinator. As for watch dog, it won't affect sleep mode.

so,use watch dog don't increasing the power consumption?But I saw in the main funstion that when I use watchdog must define WDT_IN_PM1.Is it say the watchdog had better use in PM1 mode?

Hi,

I have exatcly the same problem, nwk_poll_evt is waking my CC2530 from sleep all the time. What is solution for this?

Can you elaborate your problem? Which Z-Stack and example you are testing. The latest timer event in Z-Stack can be set you uint32 which is good enough to wake up CC2530 from a long scheduled event.

Z-Stack 1.2.1, I'm using my code loosly based on temperature sensor example.
My current consumption is around 200-300 uA when in sleep mode. In datasheet this should be around 0.1 uA in PM2.
In debbug mode i have seen that when osal is looking for the shortest timer timeout, it almost always gets the timeout from NWK_AUTO_POLL_EVT. even when i disable auto poll feature. This timeout probably prevents cc2530 from entering pm2.

For a very simple device with PM2, I can get about 2~3uA when it goes to sleeping mode.
