Other Parts Discussed in Thread: Z-STACK
Will TI ZStack support HA 1.2?
I was sure that it should be on the next stack, but it seems like I was mistaken.
So it's better to wait for an answer from TI guys.
Hi,
as mentioned in other threads and as you probably probably have already noticed, we changed our way of releasing the ZigBee products to the market: partitiooning the release by profile or market segment and including all the platforms supported in the respective product instead of separating the release per platform and bundling all profiles as we did in the past.
Each product release embeds a core stack. The old Z-stack numbering is applicable now to the core version integrated in that respective profile release.
Therefore, from now on, for everyone who wants to develop Home Automation products for instance, will be using a Home Automation base release.
As you noticed, we released Home Automation 1.1.0 which targets 3 different TI platforms and combinations (SoC, dual chip). This allows customer the maximum flexibility in terms of system architecture and microcontroller choice (from 8 bit to 32 bit).
TI is a leader in the ZigBee market and obviously will release the next Home Automation product, named 1.2.0, very soon.
We can't provide roadmap information on the public forum. Please contact a local TI representative for more detail on exact schedule and dates and to get qualified to get access to pre-releases for early adoption.
Thanks,
