CC2520 CW Test Mode

Hi Champs,

Could someone from the LPW group please confirm the above solution is correct for enabling CW test pattern? There is no mention of this test mode in the CC2520 DataSheet, is this a mistake?

It does not seem to be completely correct.  The STXCAL does produce a CW signal, but the amplitude is very low.  Can someone indicate how to enable a full power CW test pattern?

Try setting MDMTEST0 = 0x65. Combine this with the infinite packet transmission test mode found in the datasheet.

That did not seem to work.  It placed it into constant modulation mode, not CW.  Here is the sequence that I am doing, am I missing a step?

MDMTEST0 is as 0x05A, so you cannot use the REGWR command. This only supports addresses up to 0x03F.

To get a clean tone you should also clear the MDMCTRL0.TX_FILTER bit.

SPI_Transmit is a function that I wrote.  I was using a dsPIC33 to communicate to the CC2520.  Here is the function prototype:
