CC2530 interoperability with STM32W

We have an existing device with a Texas Instrument CC2530 set up as a UART-to-ZigBee gateway.

My technical consultant, who is comfortable working with STM32W, claims that it will not be possible to use the CC2530 and the STM32W in the same system, where the CC2530 acts as coordinator and gateway.

Hard for me to think that this is true. Is it? If so, Why?

How about CC2538 interoperating with CC2530 and STM32W respectively??

If the STM32W device follows Zigbee standard such as HA profile, I see no reason why it can't work with CC2530.

Thanks, but No, we are not into the high level Profiles of the ZigBee standard as they don't fill our needs.

I want to send "bytes" and have those arrive in each end through the mesh as I would likewise expect from an IP network, without regards to what higher level protocols I intend to use.

Even the STM32W only use sZigbee network but no standard profile, you can get them work together. You just need to know some info. For example, do they enable SECURITY? If yes, what security type, TC_LINK_KEY or preconceived key? And, What is the format the STM32W send zigbee packets?

Ok, and when you say " format the STM32W send zigbee packets", you are talking about the actual data payload (which we control in both ends) or are there some other "formats" involved here.
